Twinread for Firefox, with translation on your computer. Dual subtitles on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Arte. Show the translation always, when paused or on hover. Video subtitles translate whole sentences. Translation only and the styles apply to video subtitles. On YouTube, captions load in full and the subtitles button sits level. Subtitle size and position apply on every site, and language lists are in alphabetical order.

The Upgrade view lists the ways to pay: card or PayPal, and Visa or Mastercard in Pakistan and Bangladesh, where PayPal is not available. Use Gemini in the own-key settings fills the Google AI Studio endpoint and model; you add your own key. Errors show in place, next to the control that caused them, and short notices float over the page without moving it. Panels, lists and messages open and close with short motion. With reduced motion turned on in your system, they change at once. The founding code is copied only when you pick 12 months or lifetime, the passes it applies to.

Subtitles for the whole video on YouTube. The full caption track is translated ahead of the playhead, the next minute first, and again from the new place after a seek. Translations are kept per video and language pair, so a rewatch is instant. Own-key translation in Settings. DeepL or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, chosen per language pair. The text being translated goes to that provider and nothing else; this device stays the default and the fallback. Transcript beside the YouTube player. Every line with its translation, the line on screen marked and followed, a click to seek, a hover or click on a word for its translation and base form, and the number of new words in the video. J and K or the arrow keys move between lines, Enter seeks, S keeps the word, Esc closes. Alt+T opens it, so does the subtitle tools menu and the popup. Transcript export as a bilingual .srt or text, Pro. On YouTube the plate shows both lines of the cue at the playhead, original and translation, and hides YouTube's own caption while it runs. Words in the original line can be clicked. The popup shows how far the video is translated and says when YouTube changed. Open words and the saved word count sit under the status. Each saved word is Learning or Known on the words page; one press switches it. Words in the playing subtitle line are marked known, learning or new. Look up a word with its base form where Twinread knows one. A line says when YouTube changed and captions may not load. Free translates the first 10 minutes of each video, 200 saved words and the rest of Twinread without limits. Pro translates the whole video, saves without limit and exports the transcript. The full Anki export, the CSV export of saved words and the bilingual PDF copy need a paid pass; the trial keeps them locked. Sending a single word to Anki stays in the trial. Glossary, input translation, custom styles, page marks, repeat and keep for subtitle lines, whole PDFs on screen, the subtitle file export and flashcard review are free. A founding price code and a renewal code show with a Copy button when they are set for the build. Subtitle translations of watched videos are stored in the extension, not in the YouTube site's storage. A provider that fails three times in a row is paused for two minutes and the on-device translator answers meanwhile; the notice shows once. A provider that does not answer in 15 seconds counts as failed. DeepL is offered only the languages it covers. Without a frequency list every word not marked known or kept counts as new. Cues that failed while a provider was down are tried again, later each time. Tags on kept phrases, Keep the first words in Prepare, the Anki and Yomitan word list import, Leech marks, New cards a day, Type the answer in Review, walking the words of a subtitle line with Alt+W, and the value and rating prompts are gone. One link to rate Twinread is in Settings. Pro passes for 6 months, 12 months and for good. Pro ends in N days shows in the last two weeks of a pass, with Buy again. A finished or refunded pass never reads as Pro, and an install that held a pass gets no new trial. The first translated subtitle line starts the trial. Subtitle files saved as UTF-16 or in a legacy Cyrillic, Greek, Turkish, Arabic, Hebrew or Asian encoding are read correctly. PDFs that rely on predefined character maps, common in Japanese, Chinese and Korean documents, are read. Always translate on a bare domain also covers its www pages, and the reverse. A failed setup is reported. Restoring a backup reports a failed step. Kept phrases no longer run into the default storage cap. The kept phrases page loads 100 rows at a time. Nothing is counted or sent any more. The suggestion form is now an Email us link. I know this on the subtitle word card marks a word known for its language, with Undo. Known words download and import as a plain text list, one word per line, in Settings. Known words are never marked on pages. Prepare tab on the kept phrases page. Choose an .srt, .vtt or .txt file and pick its language; the words not marked known and not kept are listed by how often they occur, each with its line and time. Known and Keep on each prepared word, both with Undo. Keep stores the line and the time it began with the phrase. The prepared list answers J and K or the arrow keys between words, H and L or the arrow keys between buttons, and Esc back to the file button. Prepare this page in the popup lists the unknown words of the page you are on, by how often they occur. The text is read on this device and opens in the Prepare tab; the language can be changed there. A word kept in Prepare from a page opens the page at its sentence with Open at source. A word kept from a file shows the file, line and time as text. Known above on each prepared word marks every word above it known, with Undo. X marks the focused word known, Shift+X everything above it, Enter keeps it. The Prepare header shows the share of the text the unknown words cover, and Hide words seen once. Known words are part of the backup file and come back on restore, merged with the words already there. Known words in Settings can be searched, and each word can be removed, with Undo. Review answers Space to show the answer, 1 for Again and 2 for Good, and counts the cards done in the session. Tick kept phrases to delete or export them in one step. X ticks the phrase in focus and Esc clears the ticks. Delete selected has Undo. Export selected saves the ticked phrases as a backup file. Free. Search and the pair filter no longer leave ticked phrases out of sight; the count and every action cover the phrases shown. Importing or restoring known words past 50,000 for a language says how many were not added. Restoring a backup on Free adds the source of the kept phrases only. A kept word's source quote matches the whole word, not the same letters inside another word. Shift+X in Prepare marks everything above regardless of Caps Lock. A page sent to Prepare is dropped after 30 seconds if the tab never opens.

A selection across paragraphs on a translated page keeps the original text only, in the kept sentence too. A paragraph that fails to translate shows Not translated. Retry, and the pill counts them with one Try again. Restoring a backup names the settings it would replace and keeps yours by default. In translation-only mode the selection comes back when the original text does. A kept phrase remembers where it was found. Open at source in the kept list opens the page at its sentence, or the video at its second. Undo after Keep on the selection card and on subtitles. Review shows Open at source after Show answer. Undo after a grade in Review. Type the answer before Show answer; Review says Matches, Close or Different and never grades for you. Delete in the kept list offers Undo for 8 seconds. The kept list answers j and k between phrases, h and l between buttons, and Esc leaves the search field. The Anki back field and the CSV export carry the exact source address. The backup file carries where each phrase was found.

The popup shows the trial once: while the trial line is visible, the plan badge reads Pro trial. Plans in the popup lists every pass as a button. Settings names the pass on this browser as 1 year, 1 month or Pro forever, with a short fact line, and no longer repeats the prices above the buttons. The site names every pass in the same order as the extension, and the buy buttons read Get with the pass and price. After activation the pass is named 1 month, 1 year or Pro forever, as on the Upgrade view and the receipt. Locks on YouTube subtitles, the PDF reader and the word list open the plan view with every pass and the key field. The paywall note is one short fact with an Upgrade button. Upgrade opens one settings tab and brings it to the front, never a pile of them. PDF pages no longer jump while a translation loads. The trial is stated once in settings. The lifetime pass is called Pro forever everywhere. The key steps on the site and receipt name the plan badge and the Licence key field. The site no longer says every pass ends; Pro forever does not.
